![]() ![]() I think I'll wait a while before I do that. IMAP has been around for a long time and this is the way it works. If it gets flagged as spam via the web client or Mail.app, its gone elsewhere. I can delete something in one place, and its deleted everywhere. For that, I'll have to call Comcast again. I currently use Comcast with the IMAP beta in Mail.app (10.8) and on my Android phone. My next challenge will be to have the email credentials I'm using now, from the defunct account, associated with our new, current account. ![]() ![]() I don't understand it either, but that's exactly what is was, and suffice it to say, I got my email to work with my tablet by using my email username and password from the old account. Of course, this is just a guideline and there often good reasons to do otherwise. If you frequently use multiple devices to work with your email and/or online mailbox space isn’t directly limiting you, IMAP might be the better choice. It finally dawned on me that maybe my email user name and password is somehow still associated with my old Comcast account which was cancelled in December of '06, not the current account we've been using since May of '08? So everytime Comcast would try to re-set my username/password, they were working on the current account, not recognizing that the credentials I'm using are still associated with an account that's been out of service for over seven years now? If you mainly work with your email from 1 computer and online mailbox space is limited, POP3 is the way to go. Step 3: Enter your new email address and click Connect. After 20 minutes and 2 disconnections, I still had no answer. Step 1: Click on the File tab in the upper-left corner of the Outlook window. ![]()
